The College of Physiotherapy Established in 1995 by Padmabhushan Dr. K.H. Sancheti, it is amongst one of the pioneering institutes of Physiotherapy education. It runs Bachelors in Physiotherapy (B.P.Th.) which is 4 ½ years course & Masters in Physiotherapy (M.P.Th.) which is 3 years course affiliated with the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS). It also runs a 11 months Post graduate certificate course in Sports Physiotherapy under MUHS. SICOP is recognized by The Indian Association of Physiotherapists (IAP) & by the Maharashtra State Occupational Therapy & Physiotherapy Council

Goals:
The Sancheti Institute college of Physiotherapy aims at providing quality education in Physiotherapy.

Objectives:
1) To develop overall abilities of the students.
2) To provide quality & high standard education in Physiotherapy.
3) To develop Physiotherapists well versed with abilities &   confidence to treat & research on all dimensions of Physiotherapeutic knowledge.

The academic program is as per MUHS guidelines. The term starts from June of every year. The desired candidates have to pass CET held by Maharashtra state (MH-CET) or by Private colleges (AUPMDC). Minimum of 50% is essential for securing admissions which are based on Merit only.

Students appear for their University exams yearly around May every year to complete their 4 years of degree course followed by 6 months of compulsory internship. 75% attendance is mandatory as per university rules.

Exams for PG are at the end of their academic term. Performance of dissertation is vital part of post graduation programme.

Learning Model: SICOP believes more in interactive learning rather than didactic lectures. Patient Bed side teaching & Problem based learning are essential components of learning in the final year & during PG.

Bachelors of Physiotherapy (BPTh)

Duration: Bachelors in Physiotherapy (B.P.Th.) is 4 ½ years course affiliated with the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS).

Objectives:

1) To develop overall abilities of the students.

2) To provide quality & high standard education in Physiotherapy.

3) To develop Physiotherapists well versed with abilities & confidence to treat & research on all dimensions of Physiotherapeutic knowledge.

Eligibility:

Fee Structure: BPTh – Fees structure for UG is INR 95,000/- (Rs. Ninety Five Thousand only) per year as per Shikshan Shulka Samiti’s Guidelines. Options of payments in installments & Bank assistance is available.

Masters of Physiotherapy (MPTh)

Duration: Masters in Physiotherapy (M.P.Th.) is 3 years course affiliated with the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS).

Objectives:

1) To develop overall abilities of the students.

2) To provide quality & high standard education in Physiotherapy.

3) To develop Physiotherapists well versed with abilities & confidence to treat & research on all dimensions of Physiotherapeutic knowledge.
